REL reaches final of H&V News Awards 2021

REL Building Services has been tipped for another top title at the H&V News Awards 2021.

The M&E contractor has been named a finalist in the HVAC Contractor of the Year category. The nomination follows a year, which despite the challenges of Covid-19, has seen REL secure, progress, and complete some of its largest ever contracts. One project involves meeting exceptionally high environmental targets aimed at driving down carbon, including eliminating single-use plastic packaging.

Since being established more than 70 years ago, organic growth has put REL in a financially strong position and it has recently invested in a new and larger office in Bromley-by-Bow, East London.

Toby Buckley, managing director of REL, said: “The past 12 months have been difficult for all businesses, but thankfully we have weathered the Covid-19 storm and continued to achieve positive results for our clients.

“We’re working on some fantastic M&E projects for main contractors including ISG and Willmott Dixon, helping to deliver impressive buildings across the commercial and education sectors. At the same, we’re seeking to drive growth within our own business, which was the driver behind our investment in a new office.

“Being recognised for our achievements at the H&V News Awards the is testament to the hard work, skills and dedication of everyone in the REL family. We look forward to celebrating in person with the other finalists later this year.”

The H&V News Awards are the longest running, largest and most celebrated ceremony for the building services industry. The winners will be announced on Thursday, 11 November 2021 at the Hilton Park Lane, London.
